Cambrian Mountains Beef is produced from cattle that thrive on the upland pastures that are predominant in the heartland of Wales. The cattle, mostly native breed, are fed a forage based ration and their nutrition requirements are carefully managed to ensure that they are finished to optimum standards for the tastiest, most succulent beef.

The cattle are bred, raised and finished in the beautiful Cambrian Mountains region of Wales.

Our Story

Cambrian Mountains Beef was established in 2015 as a community interest company to fulfill orders for beef from the region and to promote the region’s produce to a wider UK audience. The beef group was originally brought together by the Cambrian Mountains Initiative, a project inspired by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales who as the project’s President wished to help sustain traditional Welsh upland farms and rural communities. The Cambrian Mountains Initiative has worked with our farmers since 2013, who have met regularly since then in order to exchange knowledge and work on developing the Cambrian Mountains Beef product. These activities were run alongside complementary activities intended to develop both lamb and wool from the region.
